My celebration (so far):
  1. At 47 took up cycling again - Cycling on Britain's roads is 75 times safer than being a couch potato
  2. At 52 bought a mini convertible - Just wanted a fun car
  3. At 53 (last year) had a pacemaker fitted - Didn't want one, just caught me completely by surprise
Not sure what's next on the list.

Well this year I've dumped my wardrobe

Spent £500 on 2 suits, £140 on a four shirts in the last 6 weeks

I dont want to be going into the other stuff Ive purchased, like shoes, square pockets ect..........

Though looking like a boss is my mid life crisis thing at moment for the weekend.

Cycling wise, that happened last year at 44 years of age spending money on track bike stuff that is aged in general for the under 30 year old

15yrs ago: Quit work and went off around the world
10yrs ago: Took up golf
7yrs ago: Bought a Porsche
5yrs ago: Took up skiing
2yrs ago: Took up triathlon
Thinking about fancy watches now.

Basically, you never know when "mid" is in your life, so just keep going.

I lost 3 stone, shaved my head, and got a racing bike when I was 50. I did consider getting a tattoo of some kind, but that one's still on the back burner. Perhaps when I'm 60?

Mid life crisis, mmmm, didn't have time for one of those, at 55 suddenly got landed with 20 month old nephew, fostered him within six months and currently heading for special guardianship order, got first bike roughly 18 months ago after twenty year without and recently bought boardman sportbike, my bikes are " my time" my escape from the rat race and the hustle and bustle of life in general, is that considered mid life crisis?
