Obviously an Aubergine
Mudsticks do you ever struggle with high relative humidity conditions within the tunnel when the plants have grown fully?

Yup.. I cant work in there, after nine or before six, on days like these.

But sometimes I'll even up the humidity with overhead misting to counteract red spider mte, and encourage pollination..

Could hire it out as a sauna, with an all you can eat tomato buffet thrown in .

Still very green.

These were given to me by a neighbour - I think they are for making tomato paste or sauces.

12 more tumbling Tom's producing a small amount so far.
The tumbling Tom's are mainly dehydrated put in jars with rosemary thyme garlic and some have hot peppers added. Then various oils added. Olive oil, Best British rapeseed oil and few with avocado oil. Then they go in a cupboard for a year or more. Guess what people get for Christmas birthdays etc?
Oil is good for frying etc

They could be plums for paste,
Or possibly couer di beu.

Italian ox hearts which are a very tasty. slicing salad tomato..
They ripen almost pinkish rather than classic tomato red.

Those, on toast with marmite and basil are a fantastico summertime snack..

Try putting a very ripe banana near your green toms.. The ethelene gas given off will often get them going .

Then once they get going the ripening toms encourage the others in the same way :okay:

Looks very sorted and productive :okay:

A couple of drizzly days this week meant we could get into the cuc / pepper/ aubergine tunnel, to do some weeding.

It doesn't often look this neat so I had to record the moment.

One of my trainees is growing acocha this year, a bit like a cucumber, but tastes more like a green pepper when cooked, the leaves look just like hemp

Must take pictures of them too.

We grew these last year after being given some by a friend:

The nicest tomatoes we've ever eaten. This year, we had a large planter full of seedlings of this variety that were wiped out overnight by slugs
