....if such high profile singers as these are willing to perform at Russian oligarch weddings, and it's considered routine and not of any note, then for sure I'm out of whack with the modern world of showbiz. I find it hard to imagine either of them did it because they actually needed the extra money, so what drives them? Could it be that no matter how much you have it's never enough?......

Perhaps, somewhere along the path of their career, they have used a favour from a Russian mafia boss.

I think what is in play here is the perceived value or going rate. What makes a Mercedes Benz more expensive than a car made in Korea that is just as good or a Pinarello cost what it does? If you can demonstrate that the value of what you do is worth loadsamoney then that is what it costs.
