Still waiting for my C2W voucher , I phoned my payroll dept. but couldn't pin them down to a date when they're going to pay the invoice

I mean it's the 21st century ffs, how long can it take for my employer to pay up.

I work for the council btw, how long have others had to wait?

So I phone my payroll department again this morning and get told i have to wait for to go through the bean counters
Getting fed of waiting so I cancelled the whole damn thing.

Went online and bought a giant defy 1 for £699 outright , 30% discount should be here tomorrow.

2 hours later I get an email from cyclescheme saying my voucher is ready to be downloadedI phone them up and they cancel my cancellation email, just hope I can get hold of the place I bought the bike from and see if they will take the voucher, fingers crossed.

It shouldn't be this much hassle to buy a bike, although it's probably mostly my fault being so impatient

I work for the NHS and my HR team confirmed payment will be made today. Desperate to get my bike so feeling your pain! It took 2 weeks for them to get to this stage from confirming I was eligible for the scheme. I guess it will be next week before I receive the voucher, post it off, and likely to receive delivery of my bike the following week. Sigh!

I got an e certificate downloaded, much quicker, got my bike on it eventually

E-certificate arrived on Friday afternoon, e-mailed it to the shop along with my ID etc that afternoon. They only just got back to me today with confirmation that all is ok and they are starting the build today. Should have it by the end of the week with any luck.

Hurry up pedal on!!!

So did you get the Defy 1 for £699 and then put it on C2W too?

yes I did, haven't had final confirmation of exact price, they said an extra 11%, still a bargain with the C2W. They also said I had £300 to play with on accessories and stuff which they're going to honour as they forgot about the 11% on that. Still waiting for final figures though, I went for the full £1000 voucher, will have to wait and see...

Result !!!, received the rest of my order today and it turns with the bike at £699 and nearly £300 of accessories and stuff they haven't added cycleschemes charges, can't fault that, well pleased where's the "feeling smug" smiley
