How long ??

On the way to work, it is just about 9.9 miles according to my computer.

Exactly the same way home from work, is 10 miles exactly.

The different side of the road seems to make a 1% difference to distance !

Anyone else notice this ?

Start from the top left and go to the top right on the inside, now do the same on the outside. Start and finish points are the same but the distance is not.

Different routes through the same junctions & going the long way round a roundabout can soon add onto the trip distance.

There is always one nitpicker in the group, you understand the theory is about inside arc distance compared to outside arc.

I understand the theory, the only problem being that scale that up to the real world two different sets of start & finish points and you will end up with two different routes.

Hence the change in distance being down to route choice.
