A wee memory jogger for a bit of fun - ! How many different makes ( not models ) of bike have you owned since starting out as a nipper - ?
Okay, those of us of more senior years will not doubt have an advantage - !
Here's mine for starters - Triang ( a wee trike when I was three - ! ), Hercules, Raleigh, Rudge, BSA, Puch, GT, Giant, Marin, Brompton, Dawes. ^_^

Couple of unknown (hand painted) ones when I was young then a Raleigh (3 speed) Carlton, Ridgeback, Saracen and my Kentex Trike
I also own an unidentifiable 653 TT bike that has no branding or serial numbers although it may have a number on the fork steerer I've not looked yet (I don't want to mess with the Campagnolo headset the frame came with)

The inevitable Triang trike, plus various assorted skip rescues that I don't know what they were, a couple of shoppers that were either Raleigh or Dawes, a Hercules boy's roadster thing with rod brakes, some French or Belgian lightweight single speed that was a re-painted hand-me-down (and I regret having to move on, as it rode really nicely), an Emmelle, two Wiggins and another Raleigh.

Erm ... not a clue. But a bit of detective work as listed below worked out it's at least 47.

Raleigh, almost certainly as a youngster as they were local and x 12 in the past 11 years (still have 2)
Triang probably.
Peugeot x about 12
Dawes x 8 (still have 3 Kingpins)
Universal x 1 (a terrible Stowaway)
Ridgeback x 2 (still have a Platinum)
Carrera x 4
Specialized x 5
Python x 1
Viking x 1. That was enough.
Felt x 1. Also enough; it near killed me.
Whyte x 1
Decathlon x 1
Benotto x 1
GT x 2
Pinnacle x 1
Merida x 1
Eastway x 1
Wilier x 2
Principia x 2 (still have one, for sale soon)
Columbus x 1 (still have this, my son uses it)
Keith Lambert x 1
Avanti x 1 (use this a lot)
NeilPryde x 3 (still have two)
Giant x 2
Holdsworth (PlanetX version) x 1 (still have this as my track bike)
BeOne x 1 (son uses this)
Gitane x 1 (shouldn't have sold it)
Fuji x 2 (used as a grasstrack bike)
Olagnero x 1 (in bits)
Harry Quinn x 1 (have this)
Claud Butler x 3
Kona x 1 (our other grasstrack bike)

From a search on here of the bikes I've sold:
Daytona x 1
Focus x 1
Dolan x 1
Moulton x 1
Horizon / Kingfisher x 1
Olmo x 1
Corona MTB x 1 (beer promo bike)
Graham Weigh x 1
Ernie Clements x 1
Orbit x 1
Spike x 1 (very cheap MTB-thing)
Elswick x 1
Stormer x 1 (awful thing)
Diamondback x 1

Plus a whole pile of others I can't remember.

With me going through bikes like most people have hot dinners I'll have missed a load. [Update: I've gone back through my 'For Sale' photos and added a load more I'd forgotten about  ]

Far too many to remember when I was younger. But amongst them where a Yellow Chopper, a Grifter, a Coventry Eagle Road bike, Claid Butler Road bike, a Raleigh Banana Road bike, a few Raleigh Mtbs. More recently, a good few Halfords, some good (Subway), some bad. I've also had a few Specialized Road bikes and a flat bar, a Kona road bike and flat bar, a couple of Pinnacle road/touring bikes (still have one). A Catbike Musashi recumbent (which I regret selling)
My current stable are a Raleigh M-Trax ti/steel mtb, a Pashley Paratrooper, the aforementioned Pinnacle which is used as a back up to my commuter/tourer, which is a Planet X Tempest Ti. And finally a Van Nicholas Ventus Road bike.
