If I exclude the parts donors and just include bikes I've actually acquired to ride, I've owned or still own several Raleighs, a BSA badged Raleigh, Puch, Dawes, Astra (Elswick Hopper), Apollo, and an Ian May.
One thing in common; all steel frames. No alloy bikes and no plastic bikes.

Far too many to remember when I was younger. But amongst them where a Yellow Chopper, a Grifter, a Coventry Eagle Road bike, Claid Butler Road bike, a Raleigh Banana Road bike, a few Raleigh Mtbs. More recently, a good few Halfords, some good (Subway), some bad. I've also had a few Specialized Road bikes and a flat bar, a Kona road bike and flat bar, a couple of Pinnacle road/touring bikes (still have one). A Catbike Musashi recumbent (which I regret selling)
My current stable are a Raleigh M-Trax ti/steel mtb, a Pashley Paratrooper, the aforementioned Pinnacle which is used as a back up to my commuter/tourer, which is a Planet X Tempest Ti. And finally a Van Nicholas Ventus Road bike.
Oh yes how could I forget. A Brompton. Disliked it so much I erased it from my mind.

Because I’ve bought and sold bikes for years now I have probably owned 100’s.

I’ve thinned down over the last year (we did have 20 a couple of years ago) I have four, Gunk Jnr has three and Mrs Gunk just has one.

Started with a Triang and set off for my first trip on it aged about 3 from my grandparents house at Pathhead,Midlothian. Did not get very far as a passing police car took me back.
Lost count otherwise but ended up with a trike. Ice Adventure HD.
My favourite was the Flying Scot which took me many miles of touring, solo and later with my wife.

My earliest bike memories are from my teens and upwards

I can remember a Blue Raleigh Chopper , maroon coloured Moulton Mini that i used to do a paper round on i also broke my arm falling off it once whilst riding over a building site on it

Earliest memory of road bikes being a blue 5 speed Carlton of some sort that got swapped for a 531 tubed Holdsworth that was a bit on the small side but it got used for loads of CTC rides and tours at some point a new Viscount appeared and from there onward's well the list is endless

As a child I had a Triang then a Raleigh trike. When I progressed to two wheels I had a Hercules, Sun X 2, Phillips, Raleigh x 2, Bianchi, Armstrong, Dawes, Peugeot, Barrosa, Barracuda, Trek, Hugh Porter, Jamis. Plus of course several 'Bitzas down the years' My favourite without a doubt was my first Sun Snipe.
