Yay! I think I got about 3-4 hours continuous sleep last night!:hyper:

Hooray!

I know what it is, it's your body being contrary. You've told the whole world that you don't sleep, and your body is proving you wrong for the hell of it. ^_^

Keep it up!

I once dreamed I was riding a horse on the steppe to be awoken by some crazy Hungarian (or something similar) folk music playing on that world music program on the world service.

I'm almost guaranteed to fall asleep during Sailing By and wake up at the national anthem or the start of the jazzy music when the World Service comes on. The WS is awesome for those bits of the night where you are awake but Magic or Heart just won't do, generally when I need to be up at a ridiculous hour to catch a flight somewhere.

Hi, glad it's not just me that has lousy sleep habits, due to various kinds of work there are some nights I dont sleep at all because I know I have to get up really early, other days that I dont particularly have to get up early I dont go to sleep till really late. Obviously it disrupts the pattern.

I have to sleep with the radio tinnitus is a curse.
This is something I do for similar reasons, though I'm not sure if Steven Nolan helps or just guarantees a sleepless night!

I adore sailing by. ave been trying to find a copy on vinyl for a while now.

I had one once!

When I was a student, I found an LP by Ronald Binge in a charity shop.

I bought it for a laugh, because he had such a funny name. I'm sure it had Sailing By on.

Got rid of it ages ago, alas...

I loved the UK theme in the morning too. I bought the CD when they released it. I was sorry when it was axed. And at the same time, they switched the early morning shipping forecast to being read by a Met Office weather person, instead of a Radio 4 announcer, and it's Not The Same. (Bizarre, because there's no reason really why a weather announcer shouldn't have the same timbre and so on as a Radio announcer. But it's definitely Not The Same.)

I have an erratic sleep pattern. Sometimes I can sleep for hours and hours, othertimes I'm lucky if I get a few hours decent kip. One thing I do know is that accumulative sleep deprivation is an absolute killer.
