Not just the clothing, there's massive mark up on all cycling gear.
Carbon frame cost to a big brand £10 probably sell for £1000.
I know someone who imports garage equipment directly from China and the cost prices are ridiculously low.
But that's capitalism for you.![]()

£70 margin per hour is not good if your running costs are £80 per hour.
if you're patient and stingy and keep an eye out you can pick up decent stuff on clearance, the top dollar stuff is like a lot of other sports and activity, what the traffic will bear, fishing is the same, you can spend as much as you want to on anything
