I sleep well and can usually sleep anywhere, even on planes. But when touring I sleep badly if I am camping. Something I need to sort. Before I took early retirement I slept badly and suffered regular nightmares. My wife reckoned I was stressed and did not realise it. I sleep badly if I have had two much red wine [but that is a rare event] or if I have to get up at a predefined time for the airport.

Usually within 2 or 3 minutes for me...once i close my eyes, its quick.
Occasionally its a mare of course, you toss and turn, get jiggy legs, mind starts to go into overdrive...but thankfully thats rare.
I get the jiggly legs too, absolute mare cos you have to move them to make the feeling go away. Lasts for hours when it happens to me.

c) late it is

Yoda, you take English lessons from? ;)

I generally get off to sleep within about 15 minutes, I think. On my own I sleep with Radio 4 on, so I often hear the start of the 11pm comedy, but not the end.

I love my sleep (8hrs every night please!) but it takes anything from 20 minutes to an hour to nod off. Can't nap during the day either so last night when the dog woke me up at 5am being sick out in the hall, by the time I'd let him out, cleaned up the mess and went back to bed, I last looked at the clock at 6.20am and woke up 2 hours later. So I'm off to bed right now to hopefully regain an hour of what I missed last night.

I fall asleep with 10 minutes of sitting down to watch a TV programme... usually read for a while before nodding off.

I was worse when the children were little. I once took them both to see a film and fell asleep in the opening credits- woke up to the closing credits... Luckily neither they or anyone else realised I'd been asleep.
