Hi All,
Sorry to ask what must be a simple question to those in the know. But to me it seems very odd.
I have this shoe:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-mt53-multi-use-spd-shoes/
Which as you can see has a plate on the bottom.
I have purchased these pedals:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-pd-t780-xt-mtb-spd-trekking-pedals/
And these cleats:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-spd-mtb-cleats/
The SH56 variety.
So on the sole of the shoe, I take it I remove the plate you can see in the photo? But then I am left with a very large hole to put the very small cleat on. Is this correct? Am I supposed to have a gaping hole with a small sheet of sticky plastic that goes inside the shoe? Seems very odd if that is the case.
Never used, let alone fitted cleats. Indeed apart from looking at the top of a shoe I don't think I have ever seen a cleat fitted.
So your advice and help would be very much appreciated.
Best regards
Chris
