How to stop numb fingers and toes after long rides

Numb toes is down to shoes not fitting (you need wider to allow for expansion) and cleats if using clipless too far forward.

Numb hands is usually saddle pointed down too much or too far back due to excess weight.

Have a look for Phil Burt on you tube.

Cheers, I'll check saddle, and look at changing shoes, at present wearing a pair of sketchers 😊

Yep, your bike set up is not right if you are getting numb fingers and toes.
Toes may be wrong cleat/shoe set up.
Fingers, too much pressure on your hands.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Just to be awkward numb hands indeed are a sign of too much weight on your hands but counter intuitively pushing the saddle to far forward increases the weight over your hands .Its called the point of balance where the weight over the back of the saddle acts as a counterbalance to the weight over the bars.
I used to suffer from numb hands and after some twiddling and posts on here i dropped my saddle 5 mm and pushed it back 5 mm and this solved my problem.

this is also a very good starting point for a bike fit

Placing your weight and gripping too much plus minor setup done wrong has the effect. I struggled with this when I first started long climbs. I started to consciously adjust my posture and weight placement but it took a long while especially the finger numbness. On flats, on long ride, not an issue. Funny how these things manifest.

What did I learn is that numbness, slight pain in one knee, etc were all good indicators that something is amiss. And that it can eventually can be fixed.

Good luck and loads of patience.
