I have had a bike stolen from my front door
Here's the idea - similar to a plastic bag fitted over your seat -but more professional
A set of decals on a piece of paper. You stick them on your bike when you lock it up.
The Decals from a "tealeaf's glance", looks like the bike is scratched, marked and what have you.
"I couldn't sell that if I tried"

They would not be expensive, they would be cheap because I would like to sell a lot
What do you think?
I am open to all opinions -good or bad

Bike theives will nick any bike what ever the state.
It's just what's easy and opportunist at the time.

Sounds like a potentially good idea. As Ian said, bike thieves are opportunist, but a less attractive-looking bike might make them look elsewhere.

I think Ian is appalled at the idea of having a muddy, rusty bike.

When they tried to break into my 92yr ole mums house on Christmas Day all the Police could say
was "you can't stop them, all you can do is make it awkward so they then break into your neighbours that might be less secure" AND THATS THE PROFESSIONALS talking.
Isn't life grand

edit: They couldn't get into my mums cos what I put on the window frames so they got into
my mums neighbours (luckly she was staying with her daughter)
