I live near the Cotswolds and deliberately don't cycle there just in case I make other cyclists jealous ....

I live near Oxford, which is near to the Cotswolds. Only cycled as far as Chipping Norton so far.
Used to love riding my motorbike around the Cotswolds.
Going to see if I can cycle to Burford this summer, did it loads of times when I was a teenager.

My original intention was that it was to be a tongue in cheek post stating that I hated anyone who came from or rode in the cotswolds as I enjoyed my Easter cycling break there, good scenery, lovely undulating landscape and traffic free roads in stark contract to riding in my locale (EDIT and I was extremely jealous of them)

As I am old, bitter and cynical and quite enjoy a good moan as well it could also be used to used vent your spleen on people you hate.

What is this "flat road" people seem to revere so much? Up here in Lancashire we have only hills unless you cross the the west of the M6 where everything is... er.... flat. Honestly on my standard Ribble Valley rides I can't think of anywhere where there's more than a mile or two of flat road.
