To be honest it's the same as the one that CGN have on their YouTube channel 30 mins with a number of high intensity pushes.
If it's one of the recent ones they did, I was really feeling for poor Tom Last. He looked absolutely and utterly finished before the final push. :heat:

I bought one about 3 years ago and fitted it up on the cellar with music and TV, but gave up very quickly, b.o.r.i.n.g. I now buy a gym membership Jan/Feb/March for £69, bikes (not great) spinning classes (great), meet people, use the sauna etc Far better for me than pedalling, going nowhere, in my cellar.

I've never thought of using any sort of trainer. Mrs b got me a db roller trainer thingy for Christmas. She saw how I suffered on 75 miler after hardly cycling last winter and thought it was a great idea.
I'm using an old sun solo racer I'm slowly restoring and finding it great to combine the two. Really get a feel for the bike, and can take my time getting the build right. Jobs a gudun!

The Halfords £50 offer is a great deal for a very steady turbo .

Turbo trainer boring ?? Have a quick search on youtube for Zwift , you don't need an expensive smart trainer all you need is a compatable one that they can calculate the power and a speed and candence sensor. I have a standard Elite and a garmin speed candence and a cheapo ant dongle from Amazon.
It works great and I find it hard getting off the thing.
You get a free trial and two free months if you are a premium Strava user.
You could look at bkool as well but not tried that yet.
Good luck with it but you don't have to be bored :-)

It's just weather. You soft southerners are finally getting a taste of the weather I was raised to believe was normal!

I've been using a cross trainer that I bought a few years ago and never used much. It's a good workout, but so boring. At least it gives me the justification to listen to loud and energetic music that my classical loving wife finds hard to tolerate.
