Identical route - E-bike vs road bike

Thank you - wasn't sure (hence 'think'). What an odd (assist cut0out) speed limit for the UK government to impose!

I presume it's based on the 25km/h being used elsewhere rather than forcing manufacturers to have to tweak bikes exclusively for the UK

I'd query the calorific burn there for that - twice the calories for the same speed and HR? Doesn't seem right to me - it's likely that the app isn't accounting for the motor assist.

I'd be interested to see the results from this app for someone stuffing themselves in business glass crossing the atlantic.

Moral of the story - don't push an e-bike past 24km/h unless you're after a workout!

My wife inherited my e-MTB after I stopped using it. Last month we went for a ride and she looked like she was struggling, especially on hills but insisted we carry on. At the end she said she really suffered trying to keep up with me (I don't go faster than the e-bike assist when riding with her) whereas normally she would be ok and it would be easy.

I hopped on the e-bike...she hadn't turned it on!
