I fail to see why the better half has a problem when she comes home from work and finds my group set on the kitchen table ,on paper I hasten to add ,wheels in the sink and the frame of the bike in the bath.
Just wondering if anybody else has experiencend this phenomenem ?

My dad regularly had car engines and gearboxes in the kitchen when I was a kid and on one memorable occasion a triumph tiger cub in bits in the living room

It is all in the training, we have been married over 40 years now, I no longer wash the bikes indoors.

Mrs R was thrown out of her lodgings when she was a student at Cambridge for taking her motorbike apart in the communal kitchen.

I dismatled my yamaha rs 100 in my bedroom..mum was hilariously funny..and very energetic ,I thought she'd had ninja training .
I fix and clean my bikes in the kitchen when the good lady is at work..but im good at housework so ive been lucky, but I did wash my oily rags in her LG machine and used a little fairy to help break down the oil....that didn't go well

No need to bring the bike indoors. Buy a bike stand and clean your bike on a nice day,in the back garden. When the bike is dirty, it can wait for a reasonable day to clean it. Kitchens are not for bikes and my wife would be quite right to threaten me with all sorts if I was to bring my bike in. Come on lads, don't be slobs.

I got 'told off' for putting a bit of white spirit in the washing machine with my cycling kit. The smell lingered for a few days, but the oil stains were removed from my jerseys etc.

And i regularly come home to no wallpaper on the walls and paint rollers in the sink But I had washed up, done the ironing and took the dog out before hand lol

The bike bits have to compete for sink space with the OH horse tack , no problems there. Just need to find a place to do the washing up
