Morning,
Went on a nice ride yesterday, on the way I adjusted my seat and my power transfer felt a lot better BUT... Got home and was in some pain, my inner thigh had a friction burn ... I have done similar distances but not had the problem, I sat back on the bike and noticed it was the saddle bag catching my leg, could it have been the height adjustment the problem also should I now have to buy the spesh area cream? I have dropped the saddle down 50% from there I had it, about 0.5cm to test it.

Your thoughts please

edit: Its not like the kit in the bag cannot fit in my pockets and but its nice to have the extra space for food but should I ditch the saddle bag?

Thanks, will move the post back up and move the saddle bag and test before I ride again. Got some e45 on it and a plaster at work... Nice ride apart from that.

I think the problem might be the leg warms been a little small causing a "bulge" in my inner thigh which has rubbed the saddlebag. Will make sure I have the pulled up correct and my bag is not catching pre ride.

Well I can't really see a problem as I have the same topeak bag with a R3 fizik saddle, but having said that I suffer with a similar problem but only in one leg right at the top of my inner left thigh. I keep trying to convince myself that it because My left leg is more powerful than the right as advised by my physio and was given exercises to right this but been doing them for 18 months find no difference! Even got thinking it is because one leg is longer than the other but not so as were the same when measured. So any ideas as am getting fed up with it now have tried rubbing chamois cream on but I feel this will put me off cycling in the end so any ideas

Buy a roll of Micropore a couple of inches wide and apply a piece before putting on your shorts.

I've got a Topeak saddlebag that rubs. However, if I strap it on upside down it doesn't. It wobbles a bit more than it should but it's never fallen apart. I wouldn't use it if I were couriering volatile chemicals in it though...

Fact: Micropore tape was invented for use in repairing the teats of cows who had stood on them and torn them when standing up. It quickly found favour with humans.

Well Have been out twice now with a lenght of the tape stuck to the offending place and have to report that its a little better not sure the I have crued the problem am still thinking that its a set up problem as have repositioned the saddle by moving it forward by about 25mm and this dose seem better when seated on climbing but still needs some thinking about

Are you sitting straight on the bike? Some riders are remarkably off-centre when you see them from behind.

Well No one has cycled up behind me to tell me that I'm off centre " laugh" Seriously though That thought hadn't occurred to me but I Perhaps I should get some one film me with their phone, then I might know for sure Though am still convinced that my left leg is stronger than the right and so causing me to be bearing against the side of the saddle
