Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help with the varying width size of inner tubes. I admit the reason for my query is a little unusual, but I assure you genuine.
I'm currently designing a minimalistic wallet and would like to use a rubber band cut from an old inner tube, as a means of securing the wallet when closed. I've tried using a standard MB tube, but it is far too small for my needs and ends up super tight when in place. No good.
The distance the band needs to span is that of a credit card, end to end (about 8.5cm), and I was wondering how inner tubes vary in size, in terms of their width when laid flat.
An ideal size would be about 7.5cm. Does anything of this size exist?
Thanks in advance.
