You can be done for riding whilst under the influence(drink &/or drugs), UK.

Yes, but, IIRC, there are no proscribed limits so it's down to the officer's opinion rather than having to blow into their bag of chips.

Section 30 Road Traffic Act 1988 says: "It is an offence for a person to ride a cycle on a road or other public place when unfit to ride through drink or drugs - that is to say - is under the influence of a drink or a drug to such an extent as to be incapable of having proper control of the cycle.

Possibly by saying "UK" as I believe the laws in Scotland are different.

"In Scotland a PC may arrest without warrant a person committing an offence under this section. There is no obligation for a cyclist to submit to a blood or urine alcohol test."

UK, not England given because thats where I live.

Basically you can cycle when you are pissed as long as you are capable of controlling your bike...

Apply sense.

I'm confused. If there is no blood/alcohol scientific limit to define "pissed", how can you be pissed? Does riding a bike safely mean that you are not pissed?

(confused, and possibly pissed, but not riding a bike right now)
I think.....
