There's a dog disturbed by a vacuum cleaner to the NNW in the original view. I just thought, what an amazing resource for future historians (and soap opera writers) street view is.

Laugh all you want but I have built and have out on trial in a commercial glass house a semi recumbent quad pedal powered tool carrier. Over the last couple of months it has successfully hoed three rows of vegetables at a time, shallow cultivated in front of a mechanical seed drill it was towing, and is currently weeding three rows of veg while applying an insecticide or fertiliser spray at the same time. It also hauls a single or double trailer combination around the glass house delivering compost and trays of seedlings to where needed, and is hauling away picked produce to the packing house.

Earlier this year I also built a pedal powered upright quad "medicine show" wagon that is now touring Europe with a magic show.

For this winter I am considering building some up-right tadpole fixie trike snow ploughs suitable for use on pavements, cycle lanes and pedestrian areas.

Yeah but.Can you make a pedal powered rotorvator? That's what I wanna know.

Actually I'd be really interested in an article about your machines for Cyclorama.

I can design and build anything that I set my mind to.

As for doing an article regarding the weird and wonderful stuff that I build; I would like to hold off on that for the time being. Currently I am spending an awful lot of money on pedal powered R&D, and I don't want the rug pulled out from under me by the Big Boys before I get to the market place.

That is fantastic.

I might be interested in what you are doing, in a non comercial basis, as part of my thesis research. I have no problem with signing a non disclosure and allowing approval before use of any infomation I gain from you.

Fairy nuff, just let me know when you're ready to go public.

+1 to that.

I'm suddenly wondering if the organisation I work for could stretch to a snowplough, and contract ourselves out to the council. We already use Maximus trikes to collect recycling at the kerbside under contract to them...

Last winter, we never missed a collection, and the trikes were out working fine, when the electric vehicle was at the very edge of her ability due to the cold (charging/battery issues).

You'll probably have thought of it, but if you could add a hopper and spinning grit spreader to the back, that would be a huge benefit, since pavments rarely get gritted effectively and efficiently, since too many people think you have to dump loads of grit down, and only do it in patches....

My preference is make an allowance within the standard build for the option of fitting a 12 volt battery powered on the frame mounted salt spreader of up to 25kg capacity.

Could you use a cog drive off the rear axle for the spreader? - I suppose the additional friction could be a problem.

Found this on You Tube.... possibly a single angled ploughshare in aluminium rather than plastic would be better for larger areas but looks good for pavements:
