I'll pitch in on tyres here, I have 28mm Conti 4 Seasons on my CX, which gets ridden only on road. I have ridden it up a cycleway that began as tarmac, and ended up stony enough that I was thinking "should really be on an MTB here". The tyres handled it without a scratch.

Its the Bilston branch I would use, they have let me down before ....

One of my lbs's sells them but at the higher/dearer end of the market, I think Helfrauds have the monopoly on the affordable ones :-/

Hi folks, going back to the original post. The same Boardman bike is now on offer for £315 in the Black Friday deals - so if £360 was a bargain this definitely is. Just ordered myself one.

I knew that would happen! . Paid £320 in the end with my British Cycling discount. Could have got it for £288 though with Black Friday and BC discount.
