God this lot took me back to mid 1970s to 1980. Flying board rubbers, chalk missiles, clip round the ear, slipper, cane, showers, cross-country when the football and rugby pitches were flooded or frozen. Character building. We had a history teacher called Mr tordoff whose nickname was pinhead who we tormented mercilessly until the geography master a Mr morse intervened, didn't happen again. Our art teacher a miss alsopp was a proper miss trunchbull. She had lost her hair as a child in a Japanese pow camp and always wore a wig, one day a lad in another class knocked it off on purpose. She about killed him, sadly she retired not long after. She was actually a good art teacher strictly but fair.
