Interesting choice as I do not think we should be in Afghanistan either.

Yes, but it's legal.

As with Iraq that remains to be seen.

We're examining why you think that the seriousness of an issue is defined by its legality. If that's the case, you must believe that breaking the speed limit by 1mph is more serious than the war in Afghanistan.

No the only thing that is defined by me is my sense of morality. We are allowed to have our beliefs are we not.

The war is either legal, or it is not. Your morality doesn't come in to it.

So, why do you think that the seriousness of an issue is defined by its legality?

The law is a structure that holds society in place. Once we step outside of it we must accept the consequences of those actions.

I didn't ask you what would happen if you break the law, I asked you why the seriousness of an issue is defined by its legality.

Because I believe in the Law and what it represents. Any issue which brakes the law destroys the fabric of our society. Actions within the law by their nature are less serious in term7 of morality.

So breaking the speed limit by 1mph destroys the fabric of our society, but a legal war does not.

Mmmm ok.
