It's the wrong shoes Gromit

Always had spd-sl on Defy one , but i'm going to change it over to SPD soon. That way all 3 bikes can be used with the same pair of cycling shoes. Another reason being i want to tour more, and would like to walk around , when i reach a tourist destination etc

I wonder how far you guys actually walk!
I have SLs and have no difficulty walking around. Even been known to nip round a supermarket for a few bits on the way home.

had already put on my spd-sl shoes at school once and was told to go and talk to someone and had to run up a couple flights of stairs and along some corridors
had forgotten my mobile at home one day and that is just the day my rear hub decides to have a mega failure..... about a mile from home! i had no option but to walk home in my sl shoes
probably about 10 or 15 metres from the front door to where the bike is kept so i walk that regularly, on crushed tarmac

so in total i reckon i must walk a mile or two every year in my spd-sl shoes
