I quite like the smell. It's funny how we perceive different odours.

Anyway, until they add gluten free bread to the numerous choices I wont be partaking anytime soon.

I never have the bread.

Is that not a salad in a box then?

I like choice.

Me too

Some of the folk on here remind me of my Dad. We would go to some Chinese restaurant with a mahoosive menu and the conversation would be something like this:

Me: So Dad, I'm thinking of the prawn toast, some of the nice salt and pepper ribs and then that Sichuan chicken sounds great, how about you?

Dad: Beef curry

Me: What? But you have that every time we come to a place like this. There's loads of choice, why not try something new?

Dad: I just want beef curry. I like beef curry

Me: Tell you what, I'll order the beef curry but you can have a try of the other stuff we order, how about that?

Dad: I don't want to try, I just want my own portion of beef curry

In other news...son #2 has an evening rugby game tonight and hasn't time to come home from school so he has to sort out something to eat pre-match. There are plenty of outlets near the school with all sorts of stuff. He's chosen Subway...meatball marinara natch. I wonder how it stacks up nutritionwise for a hard game of rugby?

Ha, indeed. I appreciate that some folk don't feel the need to try something they've already decided they won't like, and we all use the experience we've earned to try and short cut decisions. It makes sense.

But that smell.... It must be a deliberate thing but why and how the hell is it made?

I have tried a chunk of the subway menu and have never tasted anything that tastes even vaguely like that smell.

I went in Subway recently and between us me and the assistant couldn't work out what an awkward vegan could have. She seemed to think it was obligatory that I have cheese with the vegetarian patty even though she understood that I didn't want cheese. We spent several moments looking at each in bemusement..
In the end I cancelled my order and went to m & s for a sandwhich instead.

Anyway, Subway sacked my lovely nephew from his zero hours contract for being to slow so I'll never forgive them!

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
You have missed nothing.

So I'm realising. :okay:

A persons better off making their own sandwich and taking their own coffee in a flask for whatever. At least you know whats gone into it and the drinks not full of sugar. Also its significantly cheaper.

I did try this, really did. I really like American style meat and pickles type sarnies. But only sometimes. I went to the local deli and bought everything I needed. Needless to say I couldn't buy the three slices of this and two slices of that I needed.

In the end it cost be about a tenner and left a load of food going to waste.

But then I am renowned for being an idiot...

And to be fair I don't always want something fancy. I've been having a single position of rice for lunch the last days. Damn carbs.

I've had a Subway but never had a KFC. Had a McDs a couple of weeks ago and that was the first time I'd had one for years. It was quite tasty apart from the fries which were a bit soggy
