I've been having a single position of rice for lunch the last days.
And what have you been drinking?

A persons better off making their own sandwich and taking their own coffee in a flask for whatever. At least you know whats gone into it and the drinks not full of sugar. Also its significantly cheaper.
I've never had a takeaway coffee full of sugar?

Personally, I frankly can't be arsed taking lunch to work. Cost of a standard lunch is not a great concern and going out for lunch gets me away from office and desk and often a chance to have a catch up with colleagues while walking to the shops

When I start to work more from home in October, then I will probably make lunch

I'll make sarnies for site work if the local offerings are rubbish but there is normally somewhere ok ish to grab a bite to eat . Theres a lovely deli on Richmond hill that does a tuna ,onion ,sweetcorn baguette :hungry: served by a pretty blonde lady :hungry:

Really? a lot of those from Costas and Starbucks are mixes which are packed full of it. If you just get a standard coffee and put your own milk in then it will be o.k. My friend put on loads of weight with those caramel macciatos and drinking loads of Oasis drinks. She lost loads of teeth and ended up with diabetes.

A caramel macchiato is not coffee. More like a masquerading ice cream. Rank.

I like Subway, especially vegetarian options, and the tuna sandwich is albacore-quite good . Their pizza place is also good. It's called Blaze Pizza. They make the pizza right when you order it. Takes about ten minutes. Spartan, but nice.

Please do, it smells like no other shop, and I can't pinpoint what the smell is.
Vinegar and olive oil?

Best Italian Beef around here is Portillos, but I've got to go all the way to Shoreham for it, until they get one built here, soon. Also have deep fried halibut, and their specialty, Chicago Style hot dogs.

Cake or ice cream? The choice is endless ...

I wandered into the Weston Favell Subways this afternoon to sniff the air.
It kind of smelled of sandwichy stuff. Not unpleasant like the air vents behind a greasy chicken or burger emporium.

I still didn't buy anything though. One glance at the vast array of options confuddled me enough to just make do with a quick sniff.

There are going to be puzzled Subway managers up and down the country wondering why cyclists are coming in for a sniff after this thread!
