How do you make a plckled egg sober.

Quite dreadful
The desiccated remains of my baby daughter's umbilical cord looked alarmingly like a pork scratchling before it dropped off.

I had 6 in jar and although yearning for them, waited till Mrsf and my daughter went to Dublin for the weekend. Bought beer and curry sauce and had a great time.

I've never eaten a pickled egg or onion nor intend too. There were two Eddies in a club I was in once, one wore hats and the other ate pickled eggs. Naturally they became known as Eddy The Hat and Eddy The Egg. Although the first time Eddy The Egg bought a pickled egg in our company, he promptly put it down on his seat, took his coat off, forgot about it and sat on it. I believe he did then eat it. I have eaten pork scratchings.

I can understand folk not having tried a pickled egg (heck, I haven't either)

But not having tried a pickled onion is utterly incomprehensible to me. When I was growing up they were a staple of family get togethers. I can't tell you how many hundred I must have eaten in my youth

The French do too, down south. Fabulous stuff. They say it's easy to do. The problem is finding decent garlic in the UK.

The Garlic Farm, on the Isle of Wight, sells jars of pickled curried garlic.
It's absolutely amazing!:okay:

I was going to say that I got headbutted in a chip shop in Birmingham when eating a pickled egg, but I've just remembered that it was actually a large pickled onion ...
