I think the inability to harden up was one of the OP's concerns (or that of his wife?)

I think that once things have been given time to warm up the inability to harden up won't be a problem, may need some encouragement though.

I once read somewhere that pro cyclists can do it while they're still moving on the bike by slipping it down their shorts so that it hangs out the bottom (wouldn't want to be holding their wheel :rain:).

That's all well and good, but there's no way on gods earth that I would have enough "length" to be able to do that on a cold, wet. foggy Yorkshire day. As soon as the temperature drops below 10C my tackle heads north and refuses to come out again!

Mmmm, some very interesting answers, some good tips re keeping the nether regions warm and as for "hardening the f#ck up" i don't have any issues in that department.....................................................................yet. :tongue:
