I previously bought one of those floor pumps, don't bother. Would not get my tyres past 70psi, and when I tried the end flew off, ricocheted around the room and wacked me on the back of the head.

That sounds more like it, what can happen with one of those? Mind you knowing my luck...........

I bought one of these about a year ago - went straight in the bin - utter rubbish, don't bother....

you can use the pump for your car tyres too, that's only around 34psi.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
I used (and recommended) Lidl pumps for 5 years or so before they stopped working - the narrow metal barrel ones, I had 2 so that was £2 per year! Then I bought a Joe Blow 
- it is SO much nicer to use and SO efficient, save your money and buy a REAL track pump
