Living alone

I could never live alone. I'm too short. I need someone who can reach the top cupboards of the kitchen. It would be chaos otherwise.
Same here!

. I was married for 26 years and i was alone for 4 years after he died and i was fine, in fact i loved it, so much freedom Then had 7 years with somebody and moved abroad with him. Now live alone in a foreign country surrounded by fields and i hate it, although there is no way i want to share with somebody else. So i'm basicly just waiting to die and get it over with
Can't you move to somewhere you don't hate being???
:hugs:

Yes, why not? That "waiting to die" sounded really sad, my mum is 75, my father died 5 years ago, she has a good social life, she made effort to find one once on her own. Painting, walking groups, cycling (still hasn't given back the folder she "borrowed" for a day in August) and does a days charity work weekly. She's "busy" and really enjoying herself.

It's just nerve cells behaving a certain way. It can be changed with a bit of effort.
It can't be that easy sazaa or surely you'd change to become more diplomatic and considerate

I'm happy with how I am, no matter how people think I come across! I say what I think, it's not that big a deal when you're on the internet with randoms. Words are just that, words. Black and white on a page. Nothing to get upset over. The people who know me in real life know I'm a straight, honest talker, if they don't like it then they don't have to talk to me. Same on here, if people get overly offended about something I've said then they can choose to ignore me. It doesn't bother me either way to be honest, I'm good with who I am as a person and don't plan on changing for anyone.

Those randoms are actually real people with feelings?

Not heard about the teens who have committed suicide after being cyber bullied eh?

Yes, most people on here aren't teenagers and may have thicker skins, but you can't be sure (there is a long depression that many people post on), so perhaps actually think about what you type and how it may affect people before you do. Yes, you can hit the ignore button but the hurt may have been done by the post that leads to that action

Just saying like, not having a go

Have I bullied anyone? Really? Pretty sure admin would be deleting my posts if I had?

I've posted a few things on that depression thread... Just sayin...

I didn't say you have, I just said think about what you type

The comment was that you seem to think that no harm can ever come from what someone types on the Internet, well evidently that's not the case is it?

As you said above "I say what I think, it's not that big a deal when you're on the internet with randoms. Words are just that, words. Black and white on a page. Nothing to get upset over."

Maybe use the Current Affairs threads if you want to engage with those with the really thick skins ;)

Yeah that's how I feel about it. People who get upset over words probably need to wise up a bit or step back from the internet, but that's my own personal opinion, and it's how I feel about words on a random website. My daughter has been raised to think the same way on the subject... If we teach our kids that words on a web page are not the end of the world then maybe there would be less "cyber-bully" suicides.
