One of the worst films I've ever seen and as if the acting wasn't terrible enough wait until they start singing

No offense mate but it serves you right. It was obvious to anyone with a modicum of common sense that it was a totally sh** film long before it even hit the cinema. The concept, cast and storyline was more than enough info to allow formation of an accurate opinion. Next time, trust your instincts ;0)

I've been had too. I remember years ago a guy at work telling me that I had to watch a brilliant film that was on the TV that night. Starship Troopers! :0( I'd never heard of it so like an idiot sat and watched it. The most annoying thing was that I watched the whole blasted thing thinking that it must have some redeeming feature. I was wrong, it was just crap!

Next day when I told the guy I'd watched it he laughed his head off!

I absolutely loved it. Some good looking eye candy in it for a start (Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan AND Stellan Skarsgård!!!). Mr Plax watched about 10 minutes of it before declaring it utter tripe and wandering off. Still didn't stop him ordering theatre tickets for it when we were in London though. I loved that even more - would have been perfect had it not been for Mr Plax moaning about his knees all the way through it. I did say afterwards why get tickets for a show he doesn't like and he said it was a treat for me. Bless him, he is well trained.

Barnet,
Mrs P dragged me along to the flicks to watch it, and although it is a girlie film, and it is really a bit of tosh, I almost found myself singing along to the songs. I must be getting to a certain age. (See another thread).

I've a feeling that Mr. Plax and I might enjoy a quiet night out with a mild and bitter, and the football pages. But we'd probably keep schtum about it.....

So did "Agadoo". Maybe we'll have to revise our opinion about that being a pile of twaddle then?

It was rubbish on the stage, I couldn't see the film being any better
Disagree.
It was a great night's entertainment, pure and simple joy.

BTW, am with dellzeqq on Moulin Rouge and Kidman...
