I've a feeling that Mr. Plax and I might enjoy a quiet night out with a mild and bitter, and the football pages. But we'd probably keep schtum about it.....

one of the best films of all time. A work of genius, and of fundamental importance in the history of film.

Couldn't agree more, but saying that after the first 10mins I was thinking WTF! But after I'd adjusted the film totally blew me away... Gonna have to dig the DVD out now... ;)

Do any other blokes like sex and the city?

I quite liked it when it first came out on tv but would not go for the film or tv repeats and certainly not worth going for a DVD of it.

It is like a lot of american stuff that when it comes along it is on at the right time to sit down and watch but then after when you see a repeat you think "well nothing is actually happening"

In box with -
Ally Mcbeal
Dawsons Creek
My so-called life (which was actually very good and did have a lot going on - early Clare Danes teen thing that she was brill in)

In the Men run out the room section at the moment is the ladies detective thing on sunday night and that choir thing last night (tues) but at least Mistresses has finished now.

Mrs Cube got no less than 3 copies of the film for Christmas. I managed about 2 or 3 minutes of it, before deciding it would be more entertaining to slam my genitalia in the kitchen drawers. I have no doubt it could be a film much loved by women, and good luck to them, and those who market them. (films,

Oh I see. I made my 500th post and developed into a senior member! Exciting this isn't it! Now I know how butterflies feel.

I'm staggered that any of you blokes actually thought it would be worth watching. When asked by Mrs R if I would like to see it, I indicated that I would prefer to stay at home, disembowl my own intestines with a rusty spoon, and then stick them on the barbecue. Mrs R went to see it with her mum, and so our marriage remains a happy one.

Though I did like Moulin Rouge...

It's a tough dog-eat-dog world here in the cafe Patrick - it's not like you gentle folk in P & L lounging around the place in silk smoking jackets leafing through the Grauniad and waxing lyrical about sensitive subjects whilst waiting for the butler to bring in tiffin.
