Mavic Aksium knackered after 2600km

Dont worry to much over Mavic wheels they are great wheels but like any mass produced product there may be some that will have an issue, i use Aksium wheels on training bikes and cover at least 10,000 miles a year on them and have never had a problem with them or do i expect to have a problem with them.

Thanks for the confidence, mine have done over 7000 miles since 2014 and are on the winter bike. You are right about mass produced products.

I've never broken my leg...doesn't mean that someone else won't, or that I won't one day in the future.

As aforementioned, I had problems with Askiums too. Possibly down to my weight, but if so it's a poor show seeing as cheapo wheels that come with bikes have never caused me problems.

I like your version, I have just bought a pair for the pub bike, hopefully they last as long as yours.

I can`t fault them. For the money they are brilliant wheels
