Stubborn git
I still can't get my head round having over 1000 LPs stored on summat the size of a very thin fag packet

Cig packet? More like the size of your thumbnail. Or 2000ish LP's on a 128gb card

I'm mystified by the fact that my first Mac had an 40mb hard drive, but now my hourly backups of changed data are always greater than 200mb.

On the good side, I helped a friend set up a website and after making the changes, explained how DNS data can take 24 hours to propagate. Meanwhile the site was already live on both our phones and her home internet. That stuff isn't supposed to be instantaneous

I remember showing my dad one of those teeny-tiny USB memory sticks - not much bigger than that - and telling him how everything I had ever produced in my entire career could be fitted on one of these with room to spare. Bit of a 'does not compute, Will Smith' moment...

I know people who don't drive, have mobile phones, TVs, or microwave ovens. They walk/cycle/use a bus or train or cadge lifts, write letters and use landlines, listen to the
radio wireless and go to the cinema, and use old-fashioned cookers to make their meals!
