Montane Feartherlite sizing?

How is it? Does it come up a bit small/ big or what?

I'm going to buy the Featherlite Velo as a summer keep me a little dry when it rains without cooking me jacket. But I have a 42" chest (43" if I puff it out) yet the Velo comes in either 42" or 45" am a bit worried the 42" will be too small but the 45" to big.

Sizing wise I found it similar to my jerseys and went with small (I take a small in Jerseys) and I like the fit.

I'm a small in most jerseys, and the small in the montane fits me fine... Nice and long at the back as well!

It rains a lot here, this week I have been rained on everyday.

Go as small as is comfortable. As bonj says, they are flappy.

I'm about your size and went for a large. It is a bit tight across the shoulders but OK. Mine's the smock version so could be a bit different.

I'm 42 as well, broad shouldered, and found the fit of the Large in the Featherlite Velo to be perfectly generous.

The yellow high viz loses colour dramatically after just a couple of washes just using tech wash and made me wish I'd gone for the dark.

The equivalent Fetherlite trousers ripped after a short while and have been discarded.

These garments are not waterproof, but pack up into easily-stowed balls and will keep you comfortable when the weather turns squally.
