OK, how about this. Possibly controversial.

Renewal of wedding vows services in churches.

Erm, a wedding vow is for life; how can you renew something that is meant to be eternal? Is it just an excuse to have another big party and get more wedding photos?

Hello Auntie Helen,
In my church, couples will receive a blessing on silver and gold anniverseries. The community honors the couple for their achievement.
You are quite right; marriage is meant to last as long as the bride and groom live.
My favorite definition of love: love is sustained choice.
Blessings,
Unky Dan

PS. I have grown fond of reading Cycle Chat entries, whilst searching for information on Trice vehicles. I am especially keen on getting more information on the new front suspension coming soon to the Trice lineup. Can you direct me to a site that has any news on this development? It must be different in England; here in the U.S. a manufacturer aims to create excitement before a new model is released in order to increase sales. (I intend on buying a Trice T when the new models with front suspension come out after the first of the year.)

Eh? Not wishing to discourage a newbie, Unky Dan, but this is not quite in the spirit of the thread.

Which you just use for chicken, Salmonella and all that?

No I use it for everything. Sweet stuff on one side, savoury on the other (garlic peaches being, in my opinion, over-rated). I scrub it with salt to clean it.

Salt eh, hmmm. I use a Garlic press for Garlic, no doubt it's on the list somewhere.

I won't use it tomorrow then.

Very wise. I haven't really got it in for garlic presses, but they definitely fall into the More Trouble Than It's Worth category. I am a convert, however, to the Potato Ricer.
