Sometimes I nod and/or say hello to other cyclist, sometimes I don't; it all depends what mood I'm etc.

I let on to other cyclists most of the time. Sometimes I don't. Coming back towards Ponteland on my training rides, I often see hundreds of other pedallers, and I can't possibly say hello to all of them. Especially if I'm chasing a time or whatever.

I passed a female cyclist this morning pushing her bike up a hill. I said "Good morning" and she replied with the same and a smile.A young, dashing cyclist certainly no needs such tricks to get the girls to smile at him?
She was probably in her early 40's but I felt a bit cheeky.

Not cheeky: traditional manners call for a gentleman to greet a lady first, not the other way around, unless the gentleman is an elder relation of the lady, in that case she is supposed to greet him first

I'm in the North East, and while I'm not saying we are all best buddies, people around here are more inclined to swap a few words with a stranger than those down south.

Very cheery, and greet most cyclists I meet, but being a little camera shy I tend to ignore young whippersnappers with cams on their helmets.
