Anyone paid for the ITVX subscription for ad free viewing?

What I don't understand is, what do you see at the times when the commercial breaks takes place. Does the program just carry on and finish 10 minutes before the ad version, and then what happens when the programme finishes and before the next one starts?

That's a very good question. Following for interest

I'm going to take a guess, until the time someone verifies; the live ITV is unaffected by your payment e.g. still broadcasts live with adverts. It's only when you're watching catch-up that it plays with no ads

They really are annoying. Three American guys at a hotel, two of whom are humiliating the third because he "didn't track trivago" and hence paid more than the other two. It's quite unpleasant.

I'm trying to imagine how it would go down if they were Brits.
Person A: "How much did you pay for your room?"
Person B: Stony glare. "Enough". Immediately changes subject, and makes a mental note that person A is a wrong 'un.

I rather like the Pepto Bismol "diarrhoeaaaa-hur" one.

I Don't find Trivago unpleasant just irritating because it is always on high rotation!

Most lottery advertising. In the majority of cases where it is true these adverts should all contain the plainly visible on-screen warning:
Statistics show that you are more likely to be dead by the end of the week than to win this lottery.

It’s worse than that.
Statistically if you bought a ticket a 6pm for the 7pm draw, you are more likely to be dead within the hour than win it.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.

But the odds are against you both dying and winning the lottery. So you should buy a ticket to ward off death.

That advert "the Cotswold Company" winds me up.
It's that old woman's voice when she sits up in bed and says in a sickly tone "ohh this is the life"

Are you watching adverts from the past?

weirdly yes  Ive got lots of stuff recorded on my Sky box, that takes me years to get through sometimes. But I only heard that factoid in an interview he did recently, Id never made the connection before, and now it annoys me for some reason.

and theyre nearly permanently played on Spotify still.

Ahh Spotify. The latest EV cupra raval audio advert is my latest earworm, full of rubbish that makes no sense at all. It’s a bloody car.

"Dean... faculty... families. This is not a graduation speech. It’s not.

Everything we’ve learned goes way beyond these walls. It’s out there, on the streets

We don’t just study history... we make it. And you don't need a law degree to understand justice. Out here, you only fail when you don't try.

We never forget where we come from... so the world won’t either. According to the statistics, we shouldn't have made it this far. Yet here we are, learning what no book can teach. Lessons only the streets can give you.

That's why we will never graduate. Because we'll never stop learning.
Welcome to the University of the Streets…. Phara phara Raval.
