Both life-savers for my aged mother whose dementia-struck husband will not eat proper food, and she doesn't always have the energy to cook. Though for wine she buys the mini bottles not the glasses, which I do admit are a bit disheartening. I remember my jaw dropping when I first saw them.

It's ridiculous: "microwave from frozen in 3.5 minutes " I could bloody well make one from scratch in that time!

Can't help thinking of Oats-so-Simple now.

for me, it's veg only sold in prepacked weights. I'm single, i cook for one, I only want to buy one or two carrots at a time... not fifteen.

Who's that Welsh comedian who uses the four-pack of baking potatoes story in his show? He's arguing with the supermarket guy about how he only wants one potato but can't find them in loose from in the store and is holding four-pack. Staff member says, "That's how they come sir." He replies,"No, it's not, you bloody did that!"
