I just don't think food should come wrapped in plastic.

So basically everything in a supermarket, except fresh meat and red wine etc, depresses me.

The most depressing thing in the supermarket? The amount of products in our shopping trolley when we have finished our weekly shop, theres only two of us FFS, what makes it worse is that we start running out a couple of days before the next weekly shop.

The major depressing thing about the supermarket is the bill at the end! I sometimes sit on the window ledge waiting and I guarantee you that over 70% of people walking away from the till are looking puzzled at the receipt trying to mentally compare the bill to the contents of the bags/trolley.

Cheap, rubbish food.
Popped into Tesco last week, not usual supermarket.
Saw a family, mum, dad, three kids doing their shop. Looked in their trolley and there was not one piece of fruit or veg.
Their "haul" consisted mainly of cheap Scotch pies, own brand 2 litre bottles of fizzy sugar, sweets, frozen chips, value ready meals and crisps.
The adults were huge and the father looked as if he was about to keel over.
It was a very depressing, quite upsetting sight. Felt quite sad for them.
