Motor home parked in disabled bay for three weeks

I think I'd be asking how does a disabled person drive a motorhome, change the gas bottles, empty the toilet thingy, get the awning out , convert the seating into beds etc?

Disability isn't always an obvious thing. There was an article last year about a young woman (I think she's 21) in Kent who was a blue badge holder. I can't remember what her disability was (either something to do with bowels or lungs) but she stated that majority of people thought she was perfectly fine and couldn't be disabled ... because she doesn't look disabled.

This doesn't mean I defend that motorhome owner.

It may well be quite easy to drive, as for the other things, you’ll find people on caravan sites usually will help others out, as will the site wardens, they won’t let someone struggle as they will be very aware of making disabled visitors welcome, the toilet cassette could be emptied by someone in a wheelchair as the disposal points are, usually accessible and at a height that’s suitable, especially on caravan club sites, the grey water is got rid of easily as the tank has a valve, you drive over a drain with the outlet, open the valve, washing up water gone, as for an awning, a lot of motor homes have the Fiamma type that just unwind from a long box cassette , and are permanently fixed to the side of the thing, gas bottles are sat behind an external door, again the wardens won’t let a disabled person struggle replacing it.
As for leaving it in a disabled bay, if it’s one for the housing residents, and the owner is displaying a valid badge, there’s nothing you can do, he’s entitled to use it, as is anyone else with a blue badge when the motor home is eventually moved

This is very pertinent too, I had a former colleague at another job, who could walk very well, you’d never have guessed he’d lost one leg above the knee

My wife. is disabled I change gas bottles empty the toilet etc

simple answer is take a photo and a note saying how much time its been there and send to the relevant authority and let them decide .
EDIT if i read it right its taking up more than one cars worth of space ? which could be a mitigating factor in your favour

As promised here it is. The childish writing says something like 'you must be so close you must f..k'. Is that allowed I wonder? 🤔 It's hard to make out in the pic' as I had to zoom in on my phone camera as just standing there and taking a pic' close up wouldn't be wise with such nosy tell-tale neighbours.

A neighbour has 'borrowed' a motor home and parked it in a disabled bay. I asked him the other day what he was going to do with it. He told me that he either intends to go on holiday in it, or buy it and go from there. He has a blue disabled parking badge which he's put on display in the thing's window. Obviously with it taking up two thirds of the disabled bay it stops other blue badge users from parking there. My question is is he allowed to park such a vehicle indefinitely in a disabled parking bay?🤔

does he take the badge out when he goes elsewhere in another vehicle ? misusing the badge in that case

He has a small van/car that hardly moves. He told me he only did about 800 miles from one MOT to the next one. The small van isn't parked in a disabled bay, so he doesn't put his blue badge in it. Though I have seen his small van in that disabled bay with his blue badge in it.

I hope the person in question doesn't see this thread, but if he does I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just asking if he's allowed to keep it there, taking up space that others need.

I'd say you're okay as long as he's not Vladimir Putin.

Yes, I know what you're implying , but this is annoying as it has a knock on effect with other people (like me) finding it more difficult to park around here. Ironically he only said the other month about how difficult parking is around here, then low and behold he decides to add to the problem!!
