I know this question has been asked but all the response suggestions seem to only cater for up to 25mm.

I have a Whyte Montpellier carbon frame hybrid. It has 28mm tyres disc brakes and plenty of clearence. There are no mounting points other than an eyelet through the fork crown, about 2 inches thick and the seat stay bridge. Can any one point me in the direction of a decent set of guards to keep the crud off me and the bike. As full length as possible would be ideal.

Whyte sell mudguards for the R7 series, try your local dealer :smile: and get them to fit the buggers!

I had a Bontrager guard fitted to my prior Cambridge by a now defunct LBS. The Portobello has a rack and no guards at the mo

Does it have eyelets for the stays? And what about a lower mounting point at the rear behind the bottom bracket?

If it has those then bluemels or chromoplastics from SKS would do the job nicely.

I have these;

Which I have had to slightly bodge to fit my Planet X XLS which has only one mounting hole in the fork.

Work fine with Schwalbe 30c S-Ones;

If there's no mounting eyelets other than those pictured, how about the SKS Velo 42s http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/sks-velo-42-urban-mudguard-set/rp-prod68582 (without stays)

An "L" shaped bracket bolts onto the mounting points pictured and the guards slide onto that so they're removable for use in dry conditions. I've used these and they provide almost full coverage except for the lower seat tube area and are quite stable even without the stays

Did you get the stays with yours? I thought they clipped onto the seat stays but looking into it Ithink they may attach to the skewer.
how do they attach? I'd rather not have them attached to the skewer.

Nope - I didn't get the version with the stays as I wanted them simply as slide on/off for occasional use. From what I have seen, the stays attach to normal mudguard eyelets (which your bike doesn't have) - see the video below.
