Mudguards for MTB ? Options please.

Hi all.
I have an old Saracen MTB. I'm wanting to put full length mudguards on it for winter use. However, on close inspection, there are no bolt holes / mounting points front or rear. Wanting some that are relative secure if possible as not really impressed with those seat post ones, it snapped off during my commute.
What (if any) are my options please ? Advice and any links appreciated.

SKS Velos would be a good choice. They attach to a bracket that bolts to where a brake caliper would go, and can unclip if you're planning some rough stuff. My daughter has some on her bike, and they fit well.
