Good morning from a cool, cloudy and windy Suffolk - at least the rain showers have passed by to the north west so far.

Coffee has long been had and I'm having a very slow start to the day with the radio and catching up with what's been going on. The general waste bin needs to returned to it's normal hiding place having been emptied and that's about it for the day.

Just tried to call our bank in the UK. I'd forgotten how much more difficult this is in the UK than in Germany...

I think I'll give it another 15 minutes before I go out - it's got much darker and the rain radar is showing a fair bit of wetness nearby.

Foolishly believed the weather forecast and hence the hung out washing is getting a post wash soaking. Was sunny as I embarked on a Toolstation and Co-op trek but just I reached Toolstation it started raining.

Actually, a running joke in our house was my sister always phoning up my parents to buy some milk, usually whilst on the way home from somewhere.

She appeared to use milk up but not replace it, because she never drank tea or coffee, so if we had been away somewhere and she was home, there often wouldn't be any on our return. It got to such a point that even if we were watching the telly or a film and somebody answered a phone in it, we'd invariably blurt out

"Can you get some milk?"

Especially if they had been on a long journey or had been rescued from somewhere and were on the way home/back, or some other faintly ridiculous scenario.

"Eh Apollo 13, Houston, we have a message here for Jim... Can you buy some milk?" 🤣

Ordered a tin of numeg paint for the trellises and remaining planter yesterday via B&Q as weirdly it was cheaper that way than from their supplier directly. Just been delivered by Amazon!
