Actually, the ordinary granola is pretty sky high in sugar as well - up to 25% for some of the fancier ones, which is insane. And tbh, not much difference that I can see between that and the free from, except probably the latter being guaranteed to be made on a GF production line.

The main thing is the difference in sugar. Dried fruit is natural sugar, which doesn't count towards the "free sugar" RDA, but the sugar syrup / corn syrup used to "stick" the granola together does.

I think it's largely just a case of reading the label.

And tbh, making your own means you can tailor it to your liking *and* have a nicer-tasting cereal into the bargain.

Still looks and tastes like the bottom of the parrot's cage might.

Much nicer weather today, although still hot and sticky.

Apparently the work from home contract myself and two others were promised will not happen now, so not pleased at all. Why say something and then go back on it? There again, this is a company that announced a Christmas party to much fanfare and then cancelled it a few weeks later as a cost cutting exercise.

I wanted to use my laptop tonight for the first time in a few weeks but it has about three billion updates it would like to do.

And I spent a lovely evening in a "Hard Compound" web chat with Howden Ganley.

He raced F1, F5000, Can Am and sports prototypes in the late 60s / early 70s, and then had a hand in designing and building the Tiga Sports 2000 and C2 cars. Absolutely fascinating.

After the web chat, I did some more on the drawing of the Reynard 893 that I started this afternoon. I'm working from a photo that's been taken with something like a 20mm lens, so the perspective is... interesting.

I am awake but that's it .

Thank you for the reminder, I must get the clippers out and give myself a grade 4 cut at some point soon.

How do you manage to do it yourself ?
I have tried a few times but just can't see well enough once I take my glasses off
