The evening's hot chocolate has just been made and I may follow it up with a beer later. As much as I'd like more than one, I've an early start on Saturday and a late night tonight would kybosh the early night I need on Friday.

Had a fabby supper of pasta carbonara and the last of the apple & ginger crumble and custard.

Now sat down with a to watch Bangers & Cash.

Oh lord,what a journey back.Left the Pousada at 06-30 in Portugal.The flight from Porto was delayed by three hours,then the m25 was a nightmare after a crash and fire.Got home to Leeds via a drop off in Barnsley at 22-00,what a day of travelling,but the holiday was stunning.

And it's time I put the writing away and toddled off to bed via a nice hot bath.

Morning.
We had a bit of a red sunrise, everywhere looked pink.
I went for a ride with my friends yesterday. I took my Fausto Coppi to give it a good test ride.It went really well. It feels so light and nimble. It is fast. On one downhill section I left one friend behind me and caught others up in front just by freewheeling. I didn't like going fast down one narrow lane which had wet moss and mud on it. I almost lost it at one point. I am surprised by how well it rides.

Absolutely gerpishening it down at 07:00 this morning. Fortunately by the time I needed to start moving it had stopped.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's sunshine, clear blue skies and a bit chilly to start the day. Coffee has been had after a very average night's sleep.

This morning will involve food shopping and sorting out everything I need for the weekend away. Unlike most of my away days which are indoors, this will be mostly outdoors at Silverstone so, with Sunday's forecast of heavy ⛈️⛈️, warmer clothing, waterproofs & boots will need to be checked & packed as necessary.
