Just had a wedding drive past; there's a venue in the village which is pretty popular.

In Germany there's often a procession which drives from church to reception with horns blaring, so you know they're there. On top of that, this one was preceded by about 30 odd motorcyclists who filled the road on some exceptionally expensive looking bikes. I don't know how they all squeezed into the road to the venue, especially as our local station is at the other end...

Used to do that in The States, as well, but my marriage was the last time I saw that. I think also the last time there was a Charivari involved as well.

Super typhoon Ragasa. It'll make a direct hit on HK Tuesday night into Wednesday. Expected max wind speeds of 195kph.

I think a bike ride's out of the question and my swim meet's been cancelled. I'll be stocking up on the essentials. Tea, bread, alcohol, chocolate you know, the important stuff. ^_^

Chance to get some Strava PBs

Drinks had, lunch had, emergency 15 minute nap had. Almost time to head to The Bodega for an evening of loud music.

Ah the long way round.
Oddly the longer route got me into Nottingham only 10 minutes later than the usual route. Helped by no long wait at Peterborough.

Mixed day from a weather point of view. Looked bright sunny for periods and then torrential rain.

I did manage to get a twenty mile ride in and get home just seconds before the heavens opened.

Otherwise, a pretty mundane day getting irritated with family nonsense!

Now out for my usual Sunday evening music fix.

It once could have been a lot quicker but Dr Beeching closed the line from Melton Mowbray to Nottingham. A large section of it remains as a test track and there was a scheme to link that to a nearby then recently closed colliery line to route services along instead of via Grantham.
Annoyed with Facebook, the option of how to sort messages in Facebook Groups has vanished.
