The law changes next week.

Yes you're right about that , but a number of councils have found ways to get permission to delay it. For us it would have only been the food waste change. As everything else on the new standard recycling list we've already had collected for Years.

It was Friday afternoon!
Vanessa took poorly in Bracknell.
The nice man from AA arrived, postulated. A poorly clutch.
Another nice man and a big lorry was called for.
We arrived home late Friday

Monday she limped to the Van Clinic. She is now waiting to be "triaged" - just means sorted in french.

I got a leaflet about food recycling bins and wondered how they were going to get that to work in blocks of flats where the bin men don't come round door to door; we have a chute that is only big enough to take a 15 litre bag and it goes straight down to the general waste bin at the bottom. Recycling and bulky waste gets taken down to the bins outside. Leaving 50 odd food recycling bins out on the access road is going to be a rather messy fox feast. I think people will just ignore it and continue to use the chute.

The rule is one food waste bin and one bigger kerb side food bin. For flats and like the way it would work is same as the other bins ,one bin food bin and each flat having small waste bin.

Good morning from a 1st floor hotel room in Manchester where this morning's view is of the car park.

After a wet start to the day it's finally drying up and there's even been some sunshine. Having taken my time over a large cooked breakfast, I've only got about 10 minutes rest to let everything settle before taking the walk to the train station to start the journey home.
