The law changes next week.
And now I am!
It's ♻️ & Garden Bin Day today.
I'm wondering if I want to pay £69 for the garden bin this year..
Ours is still free but its not stops October to march.
I got a leaflet about food recycling bins and wondered how they were going to get that to work in blocks of flats where the bin men don't come round door to door; we have a chute that is only big enough to take a 15 litre bag and it goes straight down to the general waste bin at the bottom. Recycling and bulky waste gets taken down to the bins outside. Leaving 50 odd food recycling bins out on the access road is going to be a rather messy fox feast. I think people will just ignore it and continue to use the chute.Yes you're right about that , but a number of councils have found ways to get permission to delay it. For us it would have only been the food waste change. As everything else on the new standard recycling list we've already had collected for Years.
